Smoked Bone In Turkey Breast
Smoked turkey breast for Thanksgiving.
Ingredients
- Turkey breast
- Mayonnaise
- Seasonings
- 1/2 cup kosher salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Defrost turkey breast
- Mix water, 1/2 cup salt, and 1/2 cup sugar in a container for brining
- Place turkey breast in the brine overnight
- Brine should cover the meat completely
- Remove turkey breast from brine and dry
- Apply thin layer of mayonnaise to turkey breast as a binder for the seasonings
- Use any seasonings you wish
- Heat smoker to 250°F
- Place meat in smoker
- Smoke until meat is about 165°F; about 3 hours
