Smoked Macaroni
Presenting the 4th best mac & cheese. I made smoked mac & cheese for Thanksgiving and was proudly awarded this title by Connor. When asked what the top three were, he responded with “mom’s, mimi’s and I can’t remember what the third one was.”
Ingredients
- 1 lb of penne pasta
- 1 1/2 cup of butter kase cheese
- 1 1/2 cup of mild cheddar
- 4 tbps of butter
- 1 1/2 cup of coconut milk
- 2 eggs
Instructions
- Cook the pasta and drain
- Put pasta in buttered pan
- Whisk eggs with coconut milk
- Pour mixture over pasta
- Mix butter kase cheese into pasta
- Drop small cubes of butter on top of pasta
- Spread layer of cheddar cheese on top of pasta
- Heat smoker to 350°F
- Cook macaroni for 1 1/2 hours
